Pool supplies
Pool supplies are what allow one to maintain their pool in optimum
condition. Chemicals are required to keep water free from harmful bacteria
and germs. Commonly used chemicals are chlorine, algaecide, balancers,
bromine, and shocks. There are testing kits one can purchase to ensure
water is finely balanced and also tell one which chemical adjustments
are needed.
Store pool supplies in a safe place. Children should never have access
to them. Some chemicals should not be stored next to others; some chemicals
have to be stored at a certain temperature. Never mix chemicals. Be
sure to read and follow directions when handling chemical supplies.
Pool supplies can keep the swimmers safe. Pool covers should be removed
entirely before anyone enters the pool because being trapped under a
cover can be fatal. Floating toys, normally called “floaties”
are not suitable for service as a life jacket and should never be used
as flotation devices. It is advised to have rescue items and a phone
nearby and owners should have lifesaving certification.
