The definition of swimming pools is an artificially enclosed body of water intended for swimming or water-based recreation. But really pools can be anything your imagination strikes you to want it to be.

Keeping your pool clean is probably the most important factor in pool upkeep. Pools must be sanitized to prevent growth and spread of bacteria, viruses, algae and insect larvae that can cause disease. This is done by using filters and chemical disinfectants such as chlorine, bromine or mineral sanitizers. Having pool or hot tub covers is also important and can help with debris.
